The GTI Awards · Inaugural 2026

The highest honour for defensible people decisions.

Two flagship awards — Talent Tool of the Year and Talent Employer of the Year — judged independently against the GTI Standard. Awarded on evidence, never bought.

The awards

Two flagship honours

One programme recognising the best of the standard in its founding year — the tool that advances the field, and the employer that sets the benchmark.

Talent Tool of the Year

For the assessment or decision tool that best advances fair, valid and defensible hiring — proven against the published rubric.

Talent Employer of the Year

For the organisation setting the global benchmark in fair and defensible people decisions across hiring, promotion and succession.

26

Inaugural programme

Inaugural cohort · 2026. There are no past winners — the 2026 cohort is the first, with winners to be announced 2026 following independent panel scoring.

The categories

Many fields, one standard

Tool of the Year entries are judged within categories — what differs is the job the tool is built to do; the evidence bar stays the same.

Selection

The instrument best supporting fair, valid hiring decisions.

Leadership & Succession

Best tool for identifying and developing leaders and successors.

Team Development

The strongest instrument for building self-aware, effective teams.

Workforce Analytics

Best platform turning assessment data into workforce insight.

Candidate Experience

The assessment candidates rate highest for fairness and respect.

Innovation

The most significant methodological advance of the year.

Judging criteria

Four lenses, weighted and published

Entries are scored by the independent panel across four lenses. Scientific rigour carries the most weight: an award-winning tool must first be valid, reliable and fair against the GTI Standard. Any tool sharing ownership with the Institute is recused entirely.
